The Castle in Chęciny
The
Royal Castle in Chęciny was built on one of
the highest hills in the nearest countryside
in 1300 and the extended in the 15th
century. It is split into two parts: the
proper castle with two characteristic
cylindrical stone towers and the lowest
castle.
The castle
functioned as: the residence for kings and
queens, the prision, the vault and finally
the flats for some significant people.
The rebuit tower
is available for tourists as the viewpoint
where the views are breathtaking.
According to the people
living nearby, at midnights the “white lady”
is used to strolling on the castle’s walls .
She is said to be Quenn Bona walking with a
torch.
The castle
organizes knights’ tournaments, picnics and
many parties and worth seeing events.
